She wore moonlight like lingerie, the soft glow clinging to her like a delicate whisper. Her ethereal beauty was enshrined in the night, a celestial tapestry woven into her very essence. As she walked through the darkness, her steps seemed to leave a trail of stardust, a shimmering path that led to a world unseen.

Her eyes, like twin pools of liquid silver, sparkled with a depth that mirrored the vastness of the universe. They held secrets untold, mysteries waiting to be unraveled. With each blink, she cast a spell upon the night, drawing souls into her captivating gaze.

Her skin, porcelain pale, seemed to radiate with the luminescence of a thousand full moons. It glowed softly, like a lustrous pearl bathed in a celestial glow. The moon's embrace had caressed her, leaving behind a whispered kiss upon her flesh that enchanted all who dared to look upon her.

Her hair, cascading down her back in waves of shimmering ebony, appeared as though it had been spun from the midnight sky itself. Tiny specks of stardust mingled within its strands, glistening like distant constellations. With every sway and movement, it trailed behind her, an ethereal cloak that whispered tales of cosmic wonders.

She danced with the stars, twirling and spinning amidst the vast expanse of the night. Her movements were fluid, graceful, as though she had been born of the moon and stars. The night breeze caressed her, lifting her like a feather, as she moved in perfect harmony with the universe.

Her laughter, a melody of pure joy, echoed through the night. It resonated with the celestial symphony, harmonizing with the twinkling of distant galaxies. Each note carried the promise of dreams fulfilled, of wishes whispered to the night sky, and the magic that lay hidden within the deepest corners of our hearts.

In her presence, the world stood still. Time lost its meaning as she embraced the essence of the night. She was the embodiment of moonlight, a celestial being draped in its gentle glow. And those fortunate enough to witness her radiance were forever touched by the beauty of a universe held within her soul.

For she wore moonlight like lingerie, a celestial seductress who captivated hearts with her otherworldly allure. And in her presence, the night became a tapestry of dreams, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blurred into a seamless dance beneath the starlit sky.

I am awake. Tired, sleepy, and in pain—physically and mentally. The weight of my emotions crashes over me like a relentless wave, threatening to drag me under. If I focus, if I listen closely, I can almost hear the sound of my blood coursing through my veins, a frantic symphony of life desperately trying to keep me afloat. That's where I am now. Struggling to hold myself together, to cling to the fragile thread of sanity that keeps me going. My heart beats too fast, a wild drumroll of anxiety that I hadn't even realized until now.

What am I so worried about? Perhaps it's the knowledge that next week, I won't find solace in the familiar embrace of my own home. Or maybe it's the overwhelming realization that I have a mountain of tasks to conquer, each one demanding my attention, yet I find myself immobilized, unable to take even the smallest step forward. And then there's the sickening ache of missing those I haven't even parted with yet, a pang of longing that tugs at my heartstrings, threatening to unravel me before I've even begun.

But there's something else too—a discovery of an unfamiliar emotion that has taken root within me. It's something I never thought I would feel, never anticipated, and now I am too terrified to admit it even to myself. Its presence unsettles me, shaking the foundations of who I thought I was. Yet, I can't deny its existence, nor the power it holds over me.

"I will be okay, I will be okay," I unconsciously whisper to myself, like a mantra in the quiet moments. And it's true, I am okay, at least sometimes. Mostly during the daylight hours when distractions cloak my unease. Or when exhaustion engulfs me, and the comforting oblivion of sleep becomes my sanctuary. But there are certain hours when I just can't bear it anymore, when the weight becomes unbearable and threatens to consume me entirely.

I've heard stories of spontaneous human combustion, the sudden eruption of one's body into flames. It sounds absurd, fantastical even, but in moments like these, it feels strangely plausible. The intensity of my emotions, the overwhelming pressure building inside, it feels as if I could combust at any given moment. And yet, here I am, still holding on, still fighting the inferno raging within.

a revised version of what I wrote

The isolation of maturity is a surprise to everyone. You may have heard numerous adults express this sentiment, but I'm not sure we've found the words that do justice to how we feel. It's a period when we're often confronted with new problems and obligations that can feel overwhelming, and when we're often forced to leave behind the structure and support of our childhood and teenage years, which I felt I did six years way too early. Even though I have a relatively light load compared to others, juggling my work career with the need to keep breathing every day is still too much.

It's true that your worst opponent is you; at least, that's how it is for me. The only person who puts greater stress on me is myself. Having a fulfilling professional life, a lively social life, a solid social circle, and a clear sense of direction in life is a common ideal. However, in practise, it is not always simple to accomplish these goals, and it can be discouraging when we fall short.

For someone who has spent the majority of her life alone, but now finds herself involuntarily isolated, this irony is not lost on her. The exposure and development it provides are invaluable, to be sure, but at this point, I wonder what else I could possibly want or need.

Yes, I finally have the time to update my blog. I guess this is the first post of the year, huh? Hasn't 2022 been a long time? It feels like a lot has happened in a year, from losing friends to moving places to graduating and getting promoted! And I have no idea what to expect this year. Let's go through the last year in brief. We have a limitless number of dates. Some were scary, while others were fine, but none of them got me anywhere. Dates were a pleasant experience, but what did I gain other than a long dating history? I suppose the search for the one will continue this year. Then there's my job. I enjoy what I do. I'm a writer. I fricking write for a living, and it's something I adore. Getting promoted was also the best thing that ever happened to my career. Writing has always been my passion, and to be able to do it professionally brings me immense joy. It's not always easy, though. There are moments of self-doubt and writer's block, but the feeling when the words flow effortlessly and the ideas come together is incomparable. I consider myself fortunate to have found a career that aligns with my deepest interests. In addition to my work, there's the aspect of personal connections. Friends have come and gone throughout the year, but the ones who remain have become an important part of my life. We've shared laughter, tears, and countless memories. Hanging out with friends and creating new ones has added so much richness to my days. The support and camaraderie we share is priceless. Overall, it's been a fairly fantastic year. Despite the challenges and uncertainties, I've grown as an individual, both personally and professionally. I've learned to appreciate the little things and find joy in the everyday moments. Life is a continuous journey, and each year brings its own set of experiences and lessons. As for my resolutions for 2023, I'm still uncertain. I'm contemplating creating a vision board, a visual representation of my aspirations and goals for the year. It could serve as a constant reminder of what I want to achieve and inspire me to take action. Perhaps, through my blog, I can document the process of creating and working towards those goals, sharing my successes and struggles along the way.

Days like these remind me that sad days don't matter, and gloomy days remind me that days like today don't matter either. But in this moment, the first perspective might be true.

I had completely forgotten about my old self as a social butterfly. I had forgotten the confidence I once possessed, the ease with which I approached others, and the joy I felt in connecting with people. I used to be able to walk up to a guy and suggest going out for lunch without a second thought. Large groups of people didn't intimidate me; instead, they offered an opportunity for me to shine, to captivate with my words and ideas.

But somewhere along the way, I lost that part of myself. It wasn't just because of the pandemic; it started long before that. I transformed into someone who couldn't bear spending more than a couple of hours in a crowded room. Social anxiety took hold, overwhelming me with the fear of judgment and rejection. I became the person who preferred inviting others to my home, where I could control the environment, rather than venturing out into the unpredictable world.

Yet, today, something changed. Today, I was reminded of the social butterfly that still resides within me, waiting to spread its wings once more. I felt a pang of nostalgia for the days when I was out and about with my friends, filling the air with laughter and excitement. I yearned for the times when I embraced life with a vivacious spirit, unafraid to be seen and heard. This realization made me understand that the person I used to be wasn't just a phase of youth or immaturity; it was an authentic part of me that I had suppressed out of necessity.

Perhaps it's time to reclaim that part of myself, to break free from the chains of anxiety and self-doubt. Days like today remind me that I'm capable of embracing life's vibrancy once again, of stepping out into the world and allowing myself to be seen in all my imperfect glory. It won't be easy, and it may require a journey of self-discovery and healing, but the prospect of reuniting with my social butterfly self fills me with hope.

Today may feel overwhelming, and the weight of my current struggles may seem insurmountable, but I won't let it define me. I'll remember the person I used to be, the person I still am deep down, and I'll find the strength to emerge from this cocoon of isolation and fear. Because in the end, it's not about outgrowing a persona, but about rediscovering and embracing all the facets of my true self.

I’m slowly learning to love my body. Slowly but surely, I'm learning to accept my appearance, although not in the way I had hoped, and after enduring a torturous process to get here.

Growing up fat has made an impact on me. You could say it helped me develop my personality and character. But my love for how I looked was something I had to sacrifice.

I find it hard to believe people find me attractive. I had the urge to let people know about me, even parts they don’t deserve to, just to show them I can offer other things. And yet, that didn't improve matters much.

People do find me attractive after years of self-loathing and convincing myself that I do not have to change for other people. I was never a fan of extreme measures so I did what I could. A haircut, piercings, change of style.

A small part of me still gets jealous when I see other people and wonders what could have been. I’ve accepted the way I have and have proof that my look isn’t that bad. I’m not saying it’s a good type of proof, but still proof.

A little over a month ago, I could not have been happier with how things were going; I simply do not comprehend how they could have been any worse. Not in actuality, but in my head, they were.

Things are pretty much the same as before; I work during the week, and then I come home and spend the weekend holed up in my room. However, my head was giving me the impression that I was deteriorating in some way. My job was no longer as interesting as it used to be, and the length of my weekends was decreasing, despite the fact that I dreaded going in each day only to feel empty. I've had a few challenges to overcome.

Although I did meet some new individuals, say goodbye to some others, and get back in touch with others, overall I felt like things were pretty much the same as they are normally. It's possible that the pain of recalling what happened exactly a year ago is the reason why I'm sabotaging myself, or it might be that I'm just fooling myself into thinking that things are worse in my head by gaslighting myself.

One hard lesson I had to learn in working life was having to accept people come and go. I learned that in the real world but somehow this hurt just as much. I prepared myself 4 months ago to set a boundary between my personal and working life. Even had people telling me to never 100% trust people at work and Joel said the same to me. He even added “including me” at the end. But funnily four months later I find it hard to accept the fact that he’s leaving. Maybe I’m just being dramatic but I’ve only felt like this towards petty crushes or ex best friends. Never towards a colleague, someone I’d sit next to every weekday for 9 hours.

The father of the group, friend, brother, and occasional child when it comes to Hot Wheels - I genuinely wish you nothing but the best in life. Sorry, this post took a while. It was hard to compose myself now that I’m home, alone, and finally processing the fact that there will no longer be “I’ll see you tomorrow” or “Let’s go get coffee” from you. I know you know how great you are when it comes to writing and work so I won’t even bother. I know you won’t forget us at FC, but I hope you know that I won’t forget you. And not just in a polite way, but in a way that you (and Mahi) were literally the first people to help me jumpstart my career. That’s not just something one can easily forget about.

Anyways, there’s no point saying too much I’ll see you Thursday kan

A year ago I would've stated I don't have any regrets in life. However, one year later, I do have a handful of them. To start, there are the things that I've done. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would tell myself not to do certain things that I have done. nothing particularly significant that may set off a chain reaction. But enough to make a difference in the way things turned out. It's possible that things would have turned out differently if I hadn't seen my friends that night or if I had opted to stay in my apartment instead. I could have prevented myself from coming into contact with certain people, as well as a great deal of stress throughout my life. Perhaps the outcome would have been different if I hadn't asked for help in the first place. It's not that I'm not appreciative of the way things are right now, but as I mentioned before, there isn't a whole lot that could create a significant change in my life.

And then there's the kind of regret that makes you wonder what might have been if things had gone differently. how different my life would have been having I only made the decision to do it back when I had the chance. Surprisingly, the regret linked with something you did is quite distinct from the regret associated with something you did not do. If you don't take action on something, you'll end yourself dwelling on the past and wondering what you could have done differently to make things better for yourself.

In any case, neither one of them can be altered by your actions. You simply cannot travel through time in order to prevent yourself from engaging in a particular activity or coming into contact with a particular person. You also can't travel back in time to tell your past self what you should have done because that's not possible.

As I've already mentioned, here I am, ruminating about things that I just have no control over.

2017

1. They don't matter, whoever they are
2. I am fine on my own
3. I only owe myself to kind people
4. Things will turn out okay, and it did
5. It is not worth getting angry anymore
6. Achievements are not limited
7. It takes two to tango, with whoever
8. Things will always be bad, but things will always be good as well
9. It's not my fault that I am too kind
10. It's okay to be more than what people need
